Writing a letter to the boy

Dear boy,

Hello, this is the first time I'm writing a letter to you. I am a student who lives in a relatively peaceful world, far from apocalyptic. I can't possibly imagine what you are going through. You and your dad is always struggling to live and you always have to hide yourselves from the bad guys. You rarely meet new, decent people. The most shocking scene was definitely when you and your dad found naked people in the bunker. That scene reminded me of butchery. That is something that young people like you never should encounter. I assume that you are younger than me so I really feel sorry for you, seeing all those sick and gross scenes.

How do you bear that? Is your will to live on that strong? Don't you sometimes just want to quit and die like your mother did? I still can't figure out what kind of choices should be made at times like that.
On the previous pages, you and your dad met the old man who had survived in a mysterious way. He was very philosophical and his words, though difficult, made a sense and I agreed with him in many ways.
He said "I might wish I ha died. When you're alive you've always got that ahead of you." Maybe this is the reason your father and you can't give up on living even though the world they are living in is wretched.
Were you sad when the man left? You've always wanted to help people but this is the first time I've seen your father allow you to help those people. Are you satisfied with that? or did you want to live with him?

I always got the impression that you are the only pure and innocent thing left in the world. Are you the only kid left in the world? I kept thinking about how lonely you must be and I shuddered. Naturally, I was heartbroken to see that you threw out your flute because that represents life your father used to have before the apocalypse happened. It was like destroying the bridge between past and the present. Of course I understand that you are in no situation for recreation and leisure but still....

Did you notice that your father is getting sicker and sicker? You should take care of him, he was always there for you when you needed him and he was willing to sacrifice his own soul for you. Not anyone could do that. He might have easily eaten you or exchange you for food. I hate to think that your father could possibly die(ㅜㅜㅜㅜ) so please take care of him!!!!!!!!!
I want you and your father to reach the South safely so please take care of yourselves and be brave.

You guys are really good guys because you never ate peole and never stole things from people. Also you really have a kind heart ; you always want to help people you meet on the road. So please be proud of youselves and do what you can do!
